They say you can sail
For a year and a day
And still never find
Where the Nevertree grows —

A year and a day,
And so far away,
Is the island
Where age Never grows.

A boy and his friends
And the strange Indians
Dance their nights clear away
In the twilit groves,

Where the springs run bright
And the Nevertree grows,
On the island that’s known
But nobody knows.

They say you can sail
For a year and a day
And still never know
Why the pixie dust glows —

Why the pirates chase Pan
With hooks on their hands,
While faeries and Lost Ones
Run rampant through sands.

A boy and his friends
And the wild Indians
Play their pipes through the nights
In the twilit groves,

Where the air is alight
And the Nevertree grows,
On the island that’s magic,
Where age never grows.
