This is a list of good adverbs to use when writing that my Literature teacher gave us.

To indicate Sequence or pace:
Rapidly
Frequently
Continuously
Increasingly
Occasionally
Repeatedly
Regularly
Normally
Constantly
Slowly
Confidently
Gradually
Usually
Steadily

Avoid: firstly, secondly, thirdly
Choose: initially, originally, eventually, effectively, ultimately, finally
Sometimes use: previously, progressively, consequently

Manner:
Easily
Dramatically
Virtually
Suddenly
Simply
Silently

Emotion:
Un/happily
Sadly
Tragically
Stubbornly
Eagerly
Wistfully
Un/fortunately
In/conveniently
Proudly
Carefully
Hopefully
Mournfully
